Data (MinIO)
https://data.k8s.semanticscience.org — S3-compatible object storage, one bucket per user.
Keys
The portal issues them: https://portal.k8s.semanticscience.org → Data. You get an access key and a secret scoped to your bucket. Treat the secret like a password; the portal can rotate it.
Using it
Any S3 client works. With the AWS CLI:
aws configure set aws_access_key_id <access key>
aws configure set aws_secret_access_key <secret>
aws --endpoint-url https://data.k8s.semanticscience.org s3 ls s3://<your-bucket>/
aws --endpoint-url https://data.k8s.semanticscience.org s3 cp file.parquet s3://<your-bucket>/
Or mc, rclone, boto3, s3fs — anything that takes an endpoint URL.
From a workspace
The public hostname above, same as from anywhere else. Large uploads from a browser go straight to MinIO with a presigned URL from the portal, so they do not pass through the portal itself.
What it is not
Not a home directory. Your workspace's /home/coder is a block volume — fast, durable, yours. A bucket is for data that other things need to read: pipelines, other people, other machines. Put datasets and outputs in the bucket; put your venv and checkouts in home.
